Become a Professional Learning Facilitators and support candidates through the National Board process. The network has a training program and can help coordinate candidate support in your area.
Professional Learning Facilitator Trainings are for anyone interested in supporting teachers through the NBPTS process. Teachers who have earned their National Board Certification have an advantage in becoming a PLS but it is not necessary to be an NBCT to be a successful Professional Learning Facilitator. PLF Training covers bias identification, support scenarios, connections to statewide teacher evaluation, expectations of ethical support, and adult learning strategies.
Once trained you can:
- Lead your own support groups
- Provide extra readings for candidates
- Assist at candidate retreats
- Help revise our training program
- Candidate/PLF Agreement
- PLF Training - Registration Form - Flyer 2021
